Situation
Hackathon participants need schedule, logistics and a way to reach organisers without another login. Sharify wanted something participants would treat as part of the event, not as an IT experiment.
Constraints
The build window was short. The bot had to feel designed, not like a leftover FAQ form. It had to support collaboration among participants, not only broadcast from the stage.
Implementation
The Eventumbot team delivered a Messenger-based chatbot for Sharify hackathons: programme facts, a simple conversation pattern, and a look that matched a co-creation event. The partnership stayed operational after the first edition.
Results
- Participants had a user-friendly chatbot instead of a scavenger hunt through PDFs.
